Transglobal Underground - Dopi

I love this song, a great reggae tune done by a 90s multicultural, hippy, trance band steeped in world music.
The song was off their classic album international times which came out in the early 90s.
A Dopi is african for a ghost

Mixologists with MC Trip - Jungle Drummer

I dont know much about this tbh, apart fromm its a brilliant track with some amazing drumming done physically by an actual person rather than the usual drum loops.

DDR & The Geezer - Ace of spades

Heres a bizarre mix.
London heavy acid techno dudes DDR and The geezer.......from the loose knit Liberator djs collective playing the heavy metal Motorhead classic Ace of spades lol.
and surprisingly it works

The The - Another boy drowning

Heres a very dark song by a great and very underlooked band The The. The The are a dark jazzy band in a similer mould to Nick Cave and the bad seeds.
Their album and single "infected" was a minor hit but they never got the popularity they deserve, even in the indie scene (maybe that was cos theyre a bit too jazzy?)

Leftfield - Original

Heres a track from possibly my fave dance album ......AND fave album ever "Leftfield - Leftism".
Every track is a classic, full of heavy percussion, space, dub, progressive house.
Leftfield are two old punks that got into dance music in the late 80s and released single upon single in the early 90s which were popular with people in the know but it wasnt till their debut album in 1995 they hit the big time and even got nominated for a mercury music prize.
sadly they only released 1 more album, then later on a best of emerged and then they split :(
They were both musicians and got guests to perform vocals on their tracks......including one John lydon on the single "open up"

Half man half biscuit - national shite day

One of "Uncle" John peels faves from his radio show over the years. Who can forget early 80s classics such as trumpton riots and Fuckin' 'ell it's Fred Titmus.
Well here's a track off their last album "CSI Ambleside", still has the satire, the mundane and the humour.
Enjoy
